Does ToolsPix upload my images to a server?
No. All conversion happens locally in your web browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to any server and nothing is stored or logged. Your files stay on your device at all times.
What is the difference between PNG, JPG, and WebP?
PNG is lossless and supports transparency — best for logos, screenshots, and graphics with sharp edges. JPG uses lossy compression and is ideal for photos where smaller file size matters more than perfect quality. WebP is a modern format from Google that offers better compression than both PNG and JPG, and is supported by all modern browsers.
Will converting PNG to JPG lose the transparency?
Yes. JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas in PNG files will be filled with white when converted to JPG. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or keep the PNG format.
Is there a file size or number limit?
There are no hard limits imposed by ToolsPix. Since conversion runs in your browser, very large files may be slower depending on your device's memory and speed.
