Does ToolsPix upload my image to a server?
No. All cropping is done locally in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image is never sent to any server and nothing is stored or logged. Your file stays on your device at all times.
Which image formats are supported?
ToolsPix Crop Image supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP input files. You can also choose the output format independently — for example, crop a PNG and save it as a JPG.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Yes. After loading your image, you can type exact width and height values in the pixel dimension inputs. The crop selection on the canvas will update to match. You can also drag the selection freely and then fine-tune the numbers.
What aspect ratio presets are available?
Free (no constraint), 1:1 (square), 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, 2:3 portrait, and 9:16 vertical (Instagram/TikTok stories). Selecting a preset locks the crop rectangle to that ratio while still letting you drag it anywhere and resize it.
Will the image quality be reduced after cropping?
For PNG output, there is no quality loss — PNG is lossless. For JPG and WebP output, the tool uses high quality (92%) encoding, which is virtually indistinguishable from the original at the cropped region.
Is there a maximum file size?
There is no hard limit imposed by ToolsPix. Very large images may be slower to process depending on your device's available memory and CPU speed, but they will still work.
